We have already seen damaged corn coming off the farm. It is important to check your bins weekly as this crop will have trouble staying in condition. It would also be a good idea to get the centers out of the bins with the fines in the dry corn, as your aeration fans will have trouble blowing through the center of the bin.
Please use caution, if you do have a problem and your center sump does plug up, or when grain bridges, do not walk on the crust. In the grain industry we see so many unnecessary injuries and deaths related to these types of situations. Be safe out there.
